"They say that remodeling can be one of life's most stressful experiences, but you and your crew made our experience nearly painless. Stage one re-shingling, rebuilding of porches, roofing, and exterior painting, went so well and produced such superior results, that moving to stage two with you was an easy decision. In stage two, large sections of the roof were rebuilt, 2/3 of the third floor was gutted and rebuilt, a bathroom added, and the HVAC system was replaced. Added complications were that you were working with an architect, you were working with a 19th century home and you needed to preserve a treasured garden on a small lot. We appreciated that your crew created access for moving rubble and materials without going through the lower two stories, that there was always a foreman or yourself available on the job to consult and that you were so flexible about making alterations in midstream as necessary to accommodate unexpected contingencies. Also rare I think is that our financial arrangement was always clear; bills were itemized and they conformed to the original estimates and schedule. Most important, the results exceeded our expectations for quality of workmanship and eye for detail. Your suggestions for materials and design elements were right on target and consistent with the high standard you set for your work.
